01 — Understand
PackGy technology, in three points
PackGy solutions serve commercial and industrial buildings, local authorities and residential applications. They improve the energy efficiency of air-conditioning, heating, domestic hot water and refrigeration systems.
01 The solution
A reversible thermodynamic machine that produces heating, cooling or electricity.
02 Technology principle
The system couples hot and cold sources to operate either as a heat pump or as a machine that converts the temperature difference back into electricity.
03 Applications
- Commercial buildings
- Industrial sites
- Local authorities
- Heating and refrigeration
PackGy develops a highly efficient reversible thermodynamic machine that simultaneously produces cooling and heat from electricity and can reverse the process to generate electricity from hot and cold sources. Protected by a strong intellectual-property portfolio, the technology can be adapted to the specific requirements of each sector. PackGy aims to make the solution accessible to a broad customer base, optimise investment costs and accelerate international deployment.
A reversible thermodynamic machine
Installed plug-and-play in an existing plant room, the system can cover all the thermal requirements of an industrial installation from 250 kW to 20 MW for processes below 250°C.
It gives manufacturers a practical way to plan their exit from fossil fuels and decarbonise operations.
The Hydro-CO₂ piston
PackGy’s Hydro-CO₂ piston introduces a new architecture for thermodynamic systems. It is designed to improve energy efficiency and support industrial decarbonisation by transforming existing system layouts into more efficient and sustainable configurations.
PackGy’s decarbonisation strategy centres on higher energy efficiency and lower CO₂ emissions across multiple industrial sectors.
